In 2004 we won recognition for our work on diversity, reflecting initiatives within the Company and with customers, partners and suppliers. In the US, we were ranked 14th on Diversity Inc magazine's ‘Top 50 Companies For Diversity' list, for our success in establishing diversity in the workplace, with customers and suppliers. We respect the needs of our customers, including equal access for guests. For example in the UK in 2004 we set aside more than £12 million to develop a programme of reasonable physical adjustments to owned and leased properties. As part of this strategy we implemented a major training initiative called ‘Confidence to serve all' to give our employees the knowledge and skills to treat all guests and fellow employees fairly. The Company received accreditation to use the ‘Positive about Disabled People' symbol, recognising dedication and commitment to working with people with disabilities. Assistance dogs welcome
