Roche

Indirect benefits

Roche's participation in Swiss social security programmes provides retirement, disability and unemployment benefits. Owing to amendments to Switzerland's Federal Occupational Old Age, Survivors' and Disability Pension Act (BVG), contributions, existing contractual obligations result in an additional provision of 1,549,862 Swiss francs by the company [i]

Recruitment

The company's 'One door into Roche' programme, was launched in 2005. It enables prospective employees to search for jobs throughout the company on our website – by function, division or country. Job seekers receive personalised e-mail alerts when appropriate positions become available. Roche have accumulated a global talent pool of more than 60,000 external candidates through this process, allowing them to build relationships with potential recruits. 1,700 positions have filled using this system, since 2005.

Roche is keen to reach as many people as possible as a potential employer. In October 2006, they launched accessibility features on the career website to improve usability and accessibility for people with disabilities.

E-recruiting has halved the time it takes to recruit. This improves efficiency and reduces the dropout rate of desirable candidates by enabling Roche to act faster than competitors. It also helps to increase mobility and development opportunities for existing employees who have the chance to work elsewhere within the Roche Group, by opening up the internal job market for all to see.[ii]
