IKEA ran a successful initiative in JUNE 2004 where 11 job offers were made and accepted, from a total of 17 people who attended the Work Preparation Programme The framework used mirrored Recruitment That Works, but took place over a two week period.

Successful candidates included 2 clients with Aspbergers Syndrome, 3 with depression / anxiety and 1 with emphysema who had been out of work for 8 years and who thought he would never work again.

One of the successful recruits won 'employee of the month' in the second month of their employment - this was based on the number of 'thank you' notes received from customers.
